Founded in 1929, Happy Workers Children’s Center provides children ages two months to five years and their families with quality childcare and innovative early childhood education in culturally vibrant South St. Petersburg, Florida.
Beyond basic childcare, Happy Workers Children’s Center provides innovative early childhood education through a values-driven, family-based curriculum. The curriculum at Happy Workers is infused with the Reggio Emilia Approach noted by many of the most respected educators and researchers of our time as the most exceptional example of high quality early education the world has ever seen. This approach views children as competent, resourceful, curious, imaginative, inventive and possess a desire to interact and communicate with others. At Happy Workers, children participate in the construction of knowledge in environments that are supportive and nurture and provoke their cognitive, intellectual, social, emotional and physical capabilities.
Services of Happy Workers Children's Center are provided on a sliding fee scale ensuring that every child is cared for, well prepared and developmentally ready to enter school.
